Working with a goal of making a difference in the lives of children in Aroostook County, we hope to provide a unique opportunity for growth and development based on these beliefs:

1. We believe there is a special bond that occurs between children and animals.

2. We believe animals can play an important role in facilitating attachment, teaching anger management, improving self esteem, assisting in impulse control, practicing cause and effect thinking, promoting respect, practicing patience, and many more areas of behavioral support and growth.

3. We believe all children, regardless of their disability or diagnosis, should be treated with dignity and respect, and that staff should focus on the child's inherent strengths and abilities, while assisting in challenges the child may face.

4. We believe children's behaviors can improve, and their quality of life and relationships will improve as a result of time spent with our ranch animals and staff.

5. We believe the safety of our animals as well as the children we serve come first. We will not tolerate any emotional, physical abuse, or neglect of our animals by clients, visitors, or staff.

6. We believe through interaction with our animals, we can learn more about ourselves and each other. Working more effectively as a team in facilitating growth and learning.
